FAQs

Clear answers to common questions about care, sessions, and what working together actually looks like—before you book.

Your first visit is a full 60-minute, one-on-one evaluation with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We’ll take time to understand your injury history, training background, goals, and what movements or activities are currently limited.

From there, we’ll assess how your body is moving, identify why pain or setbacks are happening, and begin treatment the same day. You’ll leave with a clear plan, specific next steps, and a better understanding of what needs to change to move forward with confidence.

All sessions are one-on-one and 60 minutes long.

This allows adequate time for assessment, hands-on treatment, movement training, and education—without feeling rushed or pushed out the door. Every session is structured to move you forward, not just check a box.

Yes. Every session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

You are never passed off to aides or technicians, and your care is always individualized based on how you’re progressing—not a preset schedule or protocol.

AdaptivMVMT focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of pain, not just managing symptoms.

Sessions are longer, fully personalized, and performance-driven—without insurance restrictions that often limit care in traditional clinics. The goal isn’t temporary relief, but lasting progress that holds up in training and daily life.

The number of sessions varies based on your injury, goals, and how your body responds to treatment.

After your initial evaluation, you’ll receive a clear recommendation and an outline of what progress should look like. The plan is adjusted as you improve—so care stays efficient, intentional, and aligned with your goals.

In most cases, a referral is not required to begin physical therapy.

Some insurance plans may require a referral for reimbursement purposes. If needed, we’ll help guide you through that process.

Between visits, you’ll be given specific exercises, mobility work, or movement strategies tailored to your needs.

These are designed to reinforce progress made in session, build capacity between visits, and help results carry over into training and daily life.

AdaptivMVMT operates as an out-of-network provider, which allows care to be focused entirely on your needs—not insurance limitations.

Some clients may be eligible for reimbursement depending on their plan, and we can provide documentation if needed.

Yes. FSA and HSA accounts can be used to pay for physical therapy services when care is medically necessary.

Appointments require advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Specific policy details are provided at the time of scheduling to ensure clarity and respect for reserved session times.

After completing your plan of care, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to maintain progress independently.

If appropriate, we can discuss periodic check-ins, return-to-training guidance, or performance programming to support long-term movement and resilience.
